Founder: Oláìtán Christian Oláoyè / Enterprise: Levile / Discipline: Performing arts/ Film, TV & Media / Location: London
More about their enterprise:
Ola believes that the ability to break through talent, facilitate new opportunities and inform organisations about steps they can take to improve representation is crucial and the reason why Levile exists.
Before founding Levile, Ola was working at a job at a call centre in Canary Wharf that he didn’t enjoy. The office was jam-packed with creative individuals waiting for their big break in the industry but facing lots of barriers. He thought, why don’t I create a community for creatives, by a creative, that would solve this problem?
Founded in 2016, Levile is a platform for gifted creatives to gain genuine opportunities and access film, music, fashion and business. It aspires to facilitate new opportunities for skilled creatives in front and behind the camera, and help them continually develop their talent both locally and globally.
Ola believes that the ability to collaborate and learn from each other is an important part of the industry; ‘it’s very rare that anyone will make a film or content as a lone soldier’. For this reason, he has strived to build a strong creative community at the heart of Levile and provide a safe space for talent, enabling performers to express themselves amongst other creatives
Since its inception, Leville has expanded to include the following activities:
- A thriving community of creatives, directors, actors, musicians, designers, makeup artists and more
- Casting agency
- Long-form productions and short-form content
- Creative production
