Shubbak Festival (“window” in Arabic) supports and celebrates Arab artists’ creativity and innovation through professional, participatory engagement programmes, national touring and a biennial multi-art festival.

Initiated by the Mayor of London, the Shubbak art Festival 2011 was the first of its kind in Europe. From vibrant public squares to intimate galleries, from gardens to theatres, and into digital realms, the Shubbak festival today continues to highlight art as a site of connection and transformation.

Young Shubbak is a collective of 18-26 years old artists, curators, producers and creatives who programme multi-art form events that are relevant to young people’s cultural experiences, and promote inclusivity in the arts.
