Founder: Cheryl Ndione / Enterprise: Purple Moon Drama / Discipline: Performing arts / Location: London
More about their enterprise:
Founded by Cheryl to “transform the arts industry into a sector of bold, bad ass artists that create work accessible for all”, Purple Moon Drama, a CIO, opens doors for underrepresented emerging artists, supporting them to ‘boss their way’ into the creative industries.
Activities include:
Creative facilitator training course: supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into employment or further training by developing them as creative practitioners with the confidence and skill to pursue their ambitions.
Training and Development programmes: for older young people aged 16 – 30, targeting those who identify as being from a marginalised group. Participants are taken through a programme of personal, professional, and creative development so that they learn key skills required for their desired career.
School Holiday Drama Club – subsidised Drama Clubs in areas of high deprivation.
